Damien Vince: Our Toothpaste Tablet Removes the Need for a Tube Altogether

February 27, 2022

More than 900 million Toothpaste tubes are entering our landfills and oceans every year on a global scale. Toothpaste tubes take over 500 years to break down and cannot be recycled.

A fundamental change is required and starts with you.

Our toothpaste tablet removes the need for a tube altogether. Packaged in compostable pouches, they reduce your environmental footprint while giving you a clean, fresh brushing – without any harsh chemicals.

Change Toothpaste Tablets help you make a small change with a big environmental impact.

Our Mission
Inspired by the care that our own kids show for our planet, we want to do our part in reducing the global plastic waste problem to make sure that the environment is safe and healthy for generations to come.

Together, we believe we can create a global movement to protect our beloved planet!

Tell us about yourself?

I was raised in a family of recyclers. We composted, grew our own food, and tried to minimize our environmental impact, but when I moved out, those habits fell away.

With my kids becoming more aware, I’ve realized I need to do more and take the initiative into my own hands. In partnership with Mike, sustainability has become a top priority, and it is invigorating to explore the possibilities this sector holds.

With Change, I’ve not only been able to learn how to teach people about sustainability, but I’ve learned how to expand my own horizons as well.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Focus on communication. Customers follow our journey because we validate something in them. Our products and mission speak to them and we need to communicate that often.

What problem does your business solve?

You brush your teeth each and every day. Once your toothpaste tube is finished, it’s thrown into the garbage without a second thought. Our tablets are just like paste, without the waste—helping your teeth feel naturally clean, fresh, and prepared for anything that your day has in store.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Our children’s commitment to sustainability has inspired our desire to provide an easy solution to an everyday problem.

What is your magic sauce?

We had two mandates when we were creating this business:

  1. Our tablets had to work and taste like toothpaste.
  2. They had to be non-habit changing.

These helped us create the best tasting tablet on the market for people who don’t want to make a big change in their life.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We will be launching fluoride tablets in 2022, that is our primary goal.

From there, we will work towards more wholesale customers, scaling our manufacturing and more options for the eco-friendly bathroom.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Product development has been our biggest struggle. Finding new ingredients that meet our standards as well as being eco-friendly. The pandemic has also played a big factor in our growth and sourcing materials.
