Tell us about yourself?
My Background is from precious metal and gems manufacture and trade, involved in medium size mining in Africa, and that was where the idea of Hedpay started, for finding a solution to payments and banking between undeveloped countries and the western developed countries, when the west monopolise financial transactions as for where and how you should move your own funds, that was the trigger to start the project at same time with the blockcchain technology evolving into mass use within the financial sector as DEFI
If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?
Only advice would give, that had to be started earlier and promote more what we doing ahead of others and to have faster pace, but as we see the market is still early in time and we can catch up with
What problem does your business solve?
Our business aiming to solve the peer to peer payments and use of blockchain within the banking system as a simplified method of remittence and transactions, high security and less cost
What is the inspiration behind your business?
As stated before inspired by my own experience with banks, payments and remittence to undeveloped or third world countries, when each transaction took ages and cost huge amounts of fees to several banks or brokers and long time to be executed, after a personal incident when a known bank in Switzerland refused to transfer own funds to own account in Africa with delay of month of negotiation and Q/A, eventually funds arrive and lost the business and the word was out already in market “Africa” so i had been kidnapped and funds were stolen, so since then wanted to find this solution for all that have such international business and having similar problems and delays for their business or effect their personal lives directly
What is your magic sauce?
Our magic sauce is nothing new to market within the blockchain and banking systems, the magic is how to combine both markets together without harming or disrespecting the other, soon we will launch the new Hedpay platform products and features, then will see and taste the magic sauce
What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?
Our goal is to get most of the communities to be able to use blockchain technologies in simple way and get the traditional banking closer to digital currencies in a safe and fairly regulated method, make it easier to the consumers to be able to choose ways of control on their own funds and desires of how to use, that will achieve for us mass adoption and hopefully change the current banking system
What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?
so far the challenges are from financial institutions, governments and regulators when they are all decentralised in their decisions and same time promoting centralised global unified markets, that is what gave us incentive to focus on what we doing, while they give us hard time to be financed or be operating properly, main major problem is, when a government is supporting projects like ours, on the other hand Banks within same government jurisdictions block us totally from finance or banking with any of them, this is current issue in our market
How do people get involved/buy into your vision?
We want for the mass or any individual and business to visit us register, use our platform, follow our social medias to share their experience and let us know directly more of their requirements to improve more our product attending to their needs to make best outcome and experience to all, that will help us achieve together better financial goals directly.
