Glows is all about well-siblings – children who have siblings with special needs. Our objective is to provide them with an AI companion that shares their background, understands their situation, and employs gamified CBT to assist them in confronting negative thoughts and challenging emotions. Our primary mission is to establish a secure environment for these children and offer them nurturing support.

Tell us about yourself?

With a background in Orthodontics and an MBA, I initially entered the field of healthcare, where I worked alongside child therapists to alleviate dental anxiety in patients. Later, as a business advisor for a family mental health project, I noticed a pervasive issue – the often neglected struggles faced by siblings of sick children, many of whom grappled with anxiety and depression. Through conversations with a psychologist friend, Mina, we formulated a solution to address this critical concern. This experience, combined with my educational and professional background, served as the catalyst for establishing our business.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Embrace the challenge of starting. Once you take that first step, the road to your goals becomes a series of conquerable steps. The hardest part is initiating that journey.

What problem does your business solve?

Amid family struggles, well siblings often become invisible, their mental well-being neglected. With family priorities elsewhere, their own emotional health suffers. Through targeted support, we’re here to help without burdening their families. Our business solves the problem of overlooked well sibling mental health with compassion and empathy.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Our business is inspired by a profound understanding of the challenges faced by siblings, driven by our experiences and conversations with those in similar situations. We aim to address the often-overlooked struggles of these well siblings by providing them with the support, recognition, and resources they need to lead better lives. Our primary goal is to create an inclusive community and offer tools and information that help well siblings navigate their unique challenges, reducing feelings of loneliness and invisibility.

What is your magic sauce?

Our magic sauce is the fusion of AI-powered technology and gamified CBT, creating a virtual therapist that not only supports well siblings but also becomes their trusted friend.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Our aspiration is to resound as the resolute voice of well siblings across the world. Over the next five years, our focus revolves around refining our application and forging connections that ensure every well sibling comes across the name “Glows” at least once, making our platform a household name among this remarkable community.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

The biggest challenge I faced was dealing with the unfamiliar situation of starting my business in a foreign country. I didn’t know much about the local culture, rules, and unexpected problems.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

We’re thrilled to connect with those who share a genuine concern for the mental health of well siblings and share an interest in cutting-edge technologies like AI. Collaboration is open to experts and dedicated individuals working with children with special needs and their families. You can reach out to us through our website or directly via email.
